Molecular Biotechnology for Health

4th of May 2011: Finalisation of construction works within the new animal facility of the Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology. At present, we are making a constant effort to equip the unit with high quality devices, including ultrasonographic and imaging systems. This new facility will allow concurrent studies on up to 10 000 mice, rats, gerbils and rabbits. Due to usage of the IVC system, animals will be held in a perfectly sterile and comfort conditions.

Commencement of research is planned for the August 2011 and will enable us to broaden the scope of our studies e.g. on civilisation-related or infectious diseases.
